  • Introduction to the Periodic Table
    This video shows how there are 92 naturally occurring elements, one for each kind of atom, and how they are arranged into a table according to their relative weights. It also shows how the elements are arranged in rows and groups, the latter containing elements with similar properties, like members of a family.

    Includes a lesson about every element listed on the periodic table.

    Click on element symbol in table. Includes good structure facts on elements; good layout of information and reading level. Citation information is at the bottom of the page.

    Click on element symbol in table. Includes basic structure facts on the elements. Layout of web site is a little confusing with blocked ads. Good image of element.
  • CorrosionSource.com
    Click on element symbol in table. Basic structure facts in a chart is easy to read. Brief summary of element but includes interesting facts like cost per gram.
  • Environmental Chemistry
    Scroll down to periodic table and click on element. Includes detailed data on structure, chemical and physical properties and historical information for each element. A little difficult to navigate the page – LOTS of information and some advertisements. More challenging reading level. Citation information is at the bottom of the page.

    Brief information at a good reading level. Nice format with headings for History, Sources, Properties, Uses and Costs.
